On Tuesday, the Khartoum State Government announced a ban on New Year celebrations and protest demonstrations, ordering decisive action against any violations.
The State Security Committee stated that it had decided to prohibit events in halls, clubs, and resorts, as well as public protests, while praising recent security sweeps and operations that encompassed wide areas of Khartoum localities.
