Al-Arabiya/Al-Hadath reported that European sanctions have been imposed on Al-Fateh Abdullah Idris, known as “Abu Lulu,” over his involvement in serious crimes committed in Sudan.
The new European sanctions also include Al-Qoni Hamdan Dagalo Musa, brother of Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemeti), commander of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
In addition, the sanctions targeted five members of the Rapid Support Forces, while European measures were also imposed on two leaders of the Popular Resistance.
In October 2024, the U.S. Treasury imposed sanctions on Al-Qoni Hamdan Dagalo for his role in procuring weapons and other military equipment that enabled the RSF to carry out its ongoing operations in Sudan, including its attack on El-Fasher, according to a Treasury Department statement.
