Dead and Injured After Militia Drone Strike on Kadugli

The Sudan Doctors Network reported that eight civilians—five children and three women—were killed on Tuesday after a drone belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia targeted the “Al-Shartai” Health Center in the Hajar Al-Nour neighborhood of Kadugli city.

In a press statement, the network said the attack also left 11 others injured and caused severe damage to the health facility. It added that the drone also struck the “Kalba” neighborhood, though no casualties were reported there.

The network stressed that targeting health facilities and medical personnel constitutes a grave violation of international humanitarian law and all international conventions that guarantee the protection of civilians and medical installations.

The statement held the RSF militia fully responsible for what it described as a crime, calling for an immediate halt to all attacks on health facilities and for guarantees to protect medical staff.

It also urged the international community, as well as human rights and humanitarian organizations, to pressure the militia’s leadership to stop these violations, ensure the protection of hospitals, and guarantee the unimpeded delivery of medical and humanitarian supplies to those affected.
