
Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty briefed British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper on the latest developments in Sudan and Egypt’s intensive efforts within the framework of the Quad mechanism.
During a phone call with Cooper, Abdelatty stressed the importance of swiftly reaching a humanitarian truce as a prelude to a comprehensive ceasefire, and launching an inclusive political process with Sudanese ownership. He also underscored the priority of establishing safe humanitarian corridors and ensuring unhindered delivery of aid to the Sudanese people.
