“The Authority” Intensifies Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation in Khartoum
The Roads, Bridges, and Watercourses Authority of Khartoum State has instructed all its road maintenance teams to intensify work on the maintenance and rehabilitation of vital roads across the state.
Engineer Khalifa Khalil, Director General (acting) of the Authority, told SUNA that road maintenance is a critical process to preserve traffic infrastructure and ensure uninterrupted services for road users.
Khalil noted that on Saturday, maintenance work was carried out on Al-Qasr and Al-Sittin streets. He confirmed that maintenance and rehabilitation programs will cover all roads in the state, with particular attention to removing violations and encroachments and addressing drainage issues.
A field inspection included Al-Saha Street, Al-Ghaba Street, and Shendi Bus Station Street in Bahri locality, connecting Kasala Street and Al-Hamamteen Street, where rehabilitation and construction works continue at an accelerated pace.
