
Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, met on Sunday with Musa Hilal, head of the Revolutionary Awakening Council, in the presence of Darfur Regional Governor Minni Arko Minnawi.
During the meeting, Al-Burhan paid tribute to the martyrs of the Mustariha area who confronted the militia’s attack and sacrificed their lives for the dignity and honor of the nation.
The discussions addressed the situation in North Darfur State and the violations committed by the Dagalo militia against civilians in the Mustariha area.
Al-Burhan affirmed that the armed forces will continue their operations until the rebellion is eliminated and security and stability are restored across the country.
He also praised the strong public support for the armed forces, describing them as the nation’s shield and the guarantor of its security and stability.
