Joint Meeting to Strengthen Coordination on Fuel Import Procedures

A joint meeting was held on Monday to discuss technical arrangements and directives aimed at tightening coordination on fuel imports at a time when global oil markets are facing significant challenges.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Energy, Engineer and Adviser Al-Mu’tasim Ibrahim Ahmed; the Minister of Justice, Dr. Abdullah Darf; members of the Fuel Import Monitoring Committee; and several fuel import company representatives.

Participants emphasized that fuel is a strategic commodity that must be secured at the highest level to ensure adequate supply and reasonable prices for citizens, particularly as fuel represents the primary driver of the country’s economic and social development.
