Decline in Sorghum Prices

Commodity prices at the Gedaref State market exchange showed notable fluctuations. Millet prices recorded further increases, with the price per ardab reaching a high of SDG 303,000, while the lowest recorded price stood at SDG 275,000.
Meanwhile, prices of Feterita sorghum continued to decline, falling to SDG 180,000 per ardab, compared with about SDG 188,000 recorded on Wednesday. The price of Dabar sorghum remained stable at SDG 210,000 per ardab, with Wad Bako sorghum also holding steady at SDG 210,000 per ardab.
Sesame prices stabilized at SDG 165,000 per kantar, while the price of snack seeds (Tasali) remained unchanged at SDG 1.8 million per kantar. The price of sunflower reached SDG 1.92 million per ton.
In terms of market arrivals, 21,832 sacks of sorghum were recorded on Thursday. Imports also included 5,519 tons of Tasali seeds, in addition to 1,013 tons of sunflower.
