Dean of Diplomats: Diplomatic Missions to Return to Khartoum Soon

Member of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief Lt. Gen. Shams al-Din Kabashi hosted a Ramadan iftar on Thursday for heads and representatives of Arab and Islamic diplomatic missions accredited to Sudan. The gathering aimed to strengthen diplomatic ties and maintain engagement with the international community, and was attended by Foreign Minister Ambassador Mohi El-Din Salem.

Ambassador Mohammed Maa El-Ainin, Morocco’s ambassador to Sudan and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, expressed the appreciation of Arab and Islamic diplomatic missions for the strong cooperation they receive from the Sudanese government, which has enabled them to perform their duties effectively.

He also affirmed their readiness to return to Khartoum at the earliest possible time.

The Moroccan envoy concluded by expressing hopes for the achievement of peace and stability across Sudan as well as throughout the Arab and Islamic worlds.
