Sudan Elected in Consumer Organization Lead Position

Sudan represented by Dr Yasser Mirghani has won the Middle East seat in the Executive Bureau of the International Consumer Protection Organization in the meeting held for the first time since 50 years on African soil.
The win is by observers to be a source of pride for the Sudanese consumer protection movement, one of the leading bodies in the middle east and Africa. The elections are held each four years. This is the second time Sudan has won this position
This session is of vital importance to the Sudan, given the current war situation in which the country is living
Meanwhile the meeting of the committee to discuss African proposal for designing a prospectus that comprise the un principles about consumer rights that were issued back in 1984 and their application for the various educational stages. The meeting also approved a council for African Dialogue on consumer issues
