Agar: Army will come out victorious

The Vice President of the Sovereign Council, Malik Agar, has underlined that the armed forces, equipped with its resilience and steadfastness, will come out victorious out of the current developments in the country,
He urged the Sudanese people to stand behind their Armed Forces and to pay no heed to rumors and plots that seek to demoralize them.
In an address devoted to the most recent developments in the security and political scenes, the Vice President of the Sovereign Council said it was true that expanding the battles to central Sudan’s Al Gezira state was a matter of concern and disappointment for the civilians.
He stressed that the people have to stay assured that such a move does not mean a victory for the rebel militia or disappointment for the Sudanese people and their Army. He explained that conventional warfare includes retreat and advance and that any developments at one moment could change to something contrary.
“I would like to assure you that our military commanders are well aware of all your concerns and they are well aware that any stumbling is but a new experience to be added to the accumulated experience. The army command is studying the situation and is ready to enter into the victory battle” Agar added.
The Vice President has urged Sudanese political force and national civilian forces to adopt the questions of concern to the people at this difficult stage and to shoulder the people aspirations and desires, setting them as their own priority.
He said these political and civilian forces should form a broad-based front to this objective. He added that people should not vacate the political scene for those organizations that support the rebellion, no matter what names they took, but they in the end want to kidnap the civilian voice of the people and sell illusion to the people and the regional and international communities.
He called on the national political forces to spearhead the political process in the Sudan and to work for setting the foundation for the Sudanese state based on citizenship without any discrimination. “you should take the lead” he reaffirmed.
