The Governor of Darfur region, Minni Arko Minawi, “As part of our tour of neighboring countries, we met today (Saturday) with Mr. Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the sisterly the Republic of South Sudan, and we discussed the tragic conditions that the country is experiencing, as we presented to him the outcomes of the Asmara Declaration to end the war and manage the transitional period transition, and our future vision as political forces to get out of the crisis the country is going through.” he said in a press statement.

“The Sudanese people need long-term goals to find an amicable and peaceful solution that will lead the country to safety through Sudanese-Sudanese dialogue, national reconciliation and with the support of the political forces in the country.” Minawi added.

Minawi renewed his appreciation to His Excellency the President of the Republic of South Sudan.
