Al-Burhan informs the Chairperson of the African Union about the “Rapid Support” rebellion

The Chairperson of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met today in New York on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, the President of the Republic of the Comoros and the Chairperson of the African Union, Ghazali Othmani.

Al-Burhan briefed the Chairperson of the African Union on the situation in Sudan in light of the Rapid Support Militia’s rebellion against the state and the grave violations it committed against the Sudanese people and its targeting of civilians.

Al-Burhan welcomed the efforts made by African countries to establish security and stability in Sudan.
