Sudan Events – Rehab Abdullah
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Livestock in Sudan, Dr. Hassan Al-Toum Abdullah, confirmed that the health situation of the livestock sector in the country is very reassuring and that the epidemiological situation is sound. He also added that no new reports have been recorded to the competent authorities in the Ministry, praising the great efforts made by the technical teams and their assistance in protecting the national herd from epidemic diseases.
He emphasized his ministry’s keenness to provide medicines and vaccines that contribute to the health and development of the national herd. In the same context, Al-Tom said that his ministry is making great efforts to provide vaccines in coordination with the FAO, confirming that they will soon receive these vaccines, but the war conditions have complicated their arrival to the country.
In the same context, Al-Tom stated that his ministry, in advance with private companies, has begun importing export vaccines that contribute to animal health and increase the development of livestock exports.
It is worth noting that a committee was formed to provide the issued vaccine, headed by the Director of the Ministry’s General Administration of Quarries, in order to follow up, implement and avoid any delays.
