Nile River Health Receives Surgical Equipment with Support from World Health Organization

The Ministry of Health, River Nile State, received surgical equipment for the dialysis center in Atbara at the headquarters of the Ministry, with support from the World Health Organization. This was part of the health emergency response activities.

The state’s Minister of Health designate, Dr Ahmed Ali Wahb, following the reception today, appreciated the growing role played by international organizations and donors in supporting the health sector in the state, which received more than a million arrivals during the period of war in the country.

Wahab pointed out the need to contribute to the localization of specialized surgical services, such as heart and kidney surgery.
