Ministry of Energy Denies Connection to Recent Increase in Fuel Prices
Sudan Events – Talal Mudathir
The Ministry of Energy and Oil in Sudan has withdrawn from the recent increase in fuel prices in Sudan for the month of October.
The Ministry said in statements to the “Energy Platform,” which is a global media platform specialized in energy news at the economic, political, environmental and technical levels that “No official announcement has been made from it regarding moving fuel prices in Sudan for the month of October. Fuel prices in Sudan for the month of October 2023 witnessed a new unofficial increase during which the price of one liter of gasoline and benzene exceeded 1,000 Sudanese pounds (equivalent to 1.2 dollars). ”
This was done in a unilateral move by distribution companies and some gas station owners after the Ministry of Energy denied its approval of it.
