Egypt calls on Eritrea to intervene in resolving the Sudan crisis

Egypt expressed to Eritrea on Thursday its concern about the situation in Sudan as a result of the raging war between the Sudanese army and the rebel Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry said during his meeting with Eritrean Minister of Foreign Affairs, Osman Saleh, and President Afwerki’s advisor for political affairs, Yemane Gebreab, that Egypt emphasizes the important and pivotal role played by the mechanism of Sudan’s neighboring countries in dealing with the crisis and working to find effective solutions, and sustainable, ensuring the preservation of the unity, safety and stability of Sudan and its people.
