Minnawi Meets Horn of Africa Official at European Union Commission

The governor of the Darfur region, head of the Sudan Liberation Movement, Commander Minni Arko Minnawi, held a meeting on Friday morning with the Horn of Africa official at the European Union Commission in the presence of the European Union ambassador to Sudan.

The meeting discussed the humanitarian situation in the region and the need for the European Union to contribute to establishing peace and stability in Sudan and to help the Darfur region emerge from this ordeal.

For his part, the governor of the Darfur region thanked the European Union for its significant role in all issues of Sudan and the region, saying that the European Union represents the essential pillars of international politics and we expect a lot from it to stop the war in Sudan and help the Darfur region.
