Arrangements to remove customs barriers between Sudan and Morocco

Sudanese Minister of Finance, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, called for cooperation in the agricultural sector with Morocco, as well as cooperation in the aspect of public finance, during his meeting (Saturday) with his Moroccan counterpart (Fawzi Lakjaa) on the sidelines of the joint meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
For his part, the Moroccan Minister of Finance said that Sudan alone can suffice the Arab world, it only needs to focus on implementing agricultural technical packages, calling on the Minister of Finance to create a work team to transfer Morocco’s agricultural expertise to Sudan. The Moroccan Minister pointed out the necessity of signing a bilateral agreement for trade relations and removing customs barriers. .
Also, the meeting discussed work in the mining sector and possible partnerships between the two countries to invest in Sudan, especially since the experience of the Moroccan Managem Mining Company is considered one of the successful models.
