Gedaref Seizes Smuggled Weapons

The Gedaref State Emergency Room seized 591 Turkish pistols in “Al-Feel” Forest, smuggled aboard a double-cab box truck, and arrested the four defendants.
The acting governor of Gedaref, Mohamed Abdel-Rahman Mahjoub, while standing at the police station at the Chamber’s headquarters, saluted the Chamber’s employees for this achievement and their continuous follow-up, which resulted in the seizure of several criminals, fuel, weapons, and smuggled drugs.
He stressed the work to develop monitoring and combating tools to combat these crimes, reiterating his praise of the regular forces and their efforts to maintain security and stability, announcing the incentive for the joint force with two million pounds and overcoming the difficulties facing the work of the regular forces.
For his part, Security Colonel Al-Tayeb Ali, head of the Chamber, explained that this seizure resulted from following up on activities that threaten the state’s security, especially drugs and weapons, stressing the focus of efforts to seize weapons smuggled from Khart.
