Large military reinforcements on the outskirts of Gezira State

Ismail Awadallah Al-Aqib, the acting governor of Gerzia State, announced the distribution of large military reinforcements to the regions of the north and east of the State and the northwestern regions of the Gerzira Scheme, in order to clear them of any possible presence of the rebel Rapid Support militia. Al-Aqib added in his statements on Saturday that these reinforcements seek to clear and monitor all borders of the state bordering Khartoum State, which has been subjected to violations by the RSF militia.
The governor reassured the state’s citizens of the readiness of the armed forces to deal with any potential hostility by the rebels against the Gezira state.
