Foreign Minister Receives Credentials of FAO Representative

Acting Foreign Minister Ambassador Ali Al-Sadiq has received in his office today the Representative of FAO, who submitted his credentials to the Minister as resident representative of FAO in Sudan.
FAO Representative pointed out the fruitful relations with Sudan and the joint projects in agricultural development, enumerating the huge agrarian potential in Sudan.
For his part, the Acting Foreign Minister welcomed the FAO Representative on behalf of the Sudanese people and government, pointing out the distinguished cooperation between FAO and Sudan, adding that the technical and administrative support provided by the Organization represents an added value to the agricultural sector in Sudan.
The briefed FAO Representative on the developments in Sudan, which started with a coup attempt led by the RSF dissolved militia, then turned out to watch against the Sudanese citizens and mass destruction of public facilities, affirming that life in the rural areas outside Greater Khartoum are agriculturally stable but need more support and cooperation between FAO and the concerned authorities.
