River Nile State Government Announces the Start of the New School Year

Acting Governor of River Nile State, Muhammad Al-Badawi Abu-Groun, had announced that November 5 will be the start of the new academic year for the primary, intermidste and secondary levels, and the 22nd of the same month will be the start of universities.
Abu-Groun said that the state has worked out appropriate policies and procedures to make the academic year a success, revealing the formation of a higher committee headed by the Minister of Finance, Economy and Manpower.
The committee held several meetings, and its recommendations stressed the commitment to pay the teaching staff entitlements, besides evacuation of the educational facilities which were used as shelter to those who fled Khartoum war in the various stages, and find urgent alternatives to accommodate them in coordination with localities and components of the local community.
