Wave of resentment after killing a Sudanese female doctor
Sudan Events – Talal Mudathir
The preliminary committee of the Sudan Doctors Syndicate described the direct and successive targeting of doctors, medical personnel, and their vehicles as a full-fledged war crime.
The committee added through a statement that Dr. Safaa Musa Al-Dalil, Director of the General Department of Health Emergencies and Epidemic Control at the Ministry of Health in West Kordofan State, was killed after she and other doctors were exposed to gunfire on a car they were using.
The committee appealed to international organizations working in the country to provide the required protection for doctors who work in a bad situation and an environment that lacks standards of basic services, and to ensure safe paths for them to reach places of service.
