South Sudan Signs Agreement with Emirati Company

The Emirati satellite communications company Al-Yah Sat announced Monday that its subsidiaries, Thuraya Communications and Yah Click, have signed a new service agreement with Gate4 Technology Company in South Sudan.
The company said in its statement that the agreement aims to launch mobile communications and data services and provide communications solutions for many sectors in the rapidly growing South Sudan market.
Al-Yah Sat added that it will also cooperate with humanitarian organisations in South Sudan by providing them with the essential means of communication required to support remote areas in the country. Satellite technologies from Thuraya will work under the agreement to connect remote communities and support the government of South Sudan to develop the telecommunication infrastructure and enable the country’s e-government services.
