Officially…“Mkapa” hosts Al Hilal’s Sudanese African matches

Today, Monday, the Tanzanian Football Association officially notified Sudanese club, Al Hilal, of its approval to host the team’s matches in the group stage of the African Champions League at the “Benjamin Mkapa” National Stadium in the capital, Dar es Salaam.

The Board of Directors of Al Hilal, the Sudanese champion, sent an official letter about two weeks ago to the Tanzanian Federation asking it to approve Mkaba Stadium to host its African matches instead of its stadium in the center of the city of Omdurman due to the war.

Al Hilal Omdurman will face Angola’s Petro Atletico at the start of its matches in Group C of the African Champions League.
