SAF Resuming Negotiations Does not Mean Stopping the Battle

Sudan Events – Talal Mudathir

A statement by the official spokesperson for the SAF said on Wednesday that the army believes that negotiation is one of the means that may end the war.

He added that, accordingly, “We accepted the invitation to go to Jeddah to complete what was previously agreed upon, that is full implementation of Jeddah Declaration.”

The official spokesperson returned to point out that resuming negotiations does not mean stopping the battle for national dignity, as eliminating and defeating the rebels is the goal of the Sudanese people and the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and they are committed to this goal to put the country on the right path.

The SAF had responded to a call from the two mediating countries in the Jeddah Forum in Saudi Arabia and the United States of America) USA to resume the negotiating process with the rebel Rapid Support (RSF) militia last Thursday.
