An Agreement to establish a Platform to Follow up Arab Food Security Issues

The Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) announced an agreement to establish a platform for cooperation with different corporations and civil society organizations to follow up food security questions.
The announcement was made during the activities of the Global Program for Food Security Affairs, which was held in Doha, 9-11 November, with an international high level participation in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD) and the Islamic Organization for Food Security (IOFS).
In a press statement, Tuesday, AOAD Director, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Dakhiri, reviewed efforts exerted in the field of food security in light of available resources and the challenges facing the Arab region.
He also reviewed mechanisms and programs implemented by AOAD to activate Arab cooperation, including drafting of Arab strategy on food security that it prepared and will be presented to the upcoming Arab Economic Summit in Mauritania.
