Start of Marketing Season for Crops in Gedaref

Gedaref State Crop Markets Administration received more than 300,000 bags of sesame and announced the start of the operational marketing season tomorrow, Wednesday, marking the opening of the public auction for marketing operations for companies and commercial houses.

Director General of Finance Ministry in Gedaref State, Najat Ahmed Mohamed, promised Sudanese people with high productivity of agricultural crops in Gedaref State to provide food security despite the exceptional current situations in country that will reflect positively on Sudan and Gedaref in particular in forming various development services.

Najat stressed not to export crops as raw materials through establishing transforming industries by taking advantage of added value of crops and establishing transforming industries.

For his part,Director of the General Administration of Crop Markets in the state Mohamed Osman Al Khalifa revealed readiness of the markets to receive the current marketing season with integrated technical and administrative arrangements and adoption of unified window system to all procedures in the markets.

He also affirmed completion of calibration processes for all scales in the markets.
