Umm Baruna Forest will return as a tourist attraction next December in Sudan

The Minister of Infrastructure and Transport in charge of Gezira State, Engineer Abu Bakr Abdullah, announced the inauguration of work in the Umm Baruna Forest on December 31 and its return as a tourist attraction in the state and a natural outlet for citizens. This came during a meeting, Thursday in his office with Socotra Company that offered an assistance of 1.5 million pounds for the cleanliness campaign, sanitizing the environment and rehabilitating the Umm Baruna Forest in Madani, and revealing the efforts of the Wildlife Police to bring domestic and wild animals into the forest.
For his part, the General Manager of Socotra Company, Engineer Mohamed Abdel Rahim confirmed that the achievement he witnessed prompted the company’s support, declaring his readiness to contribute in all projects and initiatives aimed at advancing the state and its people, and supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Infrastructure to make Umm Baruna Forest a tourist destination that supports the state’s economy and creates an outlet for families, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Infrastructure in rehabilitating and maintaining roads and installing solar energy systems to Secure water provision in the state .
