Army Denies any contacts with FFC

An informed military source in the Sudanese army stressed in a statement to Sudan Events, Sunday, that there was no contact between the FFC nor have they made anyr presentation of an initiative that includes a vision and a proposed roadmap to stop the war.
The “source who preferred to not to disclosed ” expressed his astonishment at the statements made yesterday by Taha Osman – a member of the Executive Office of the FFC, in which he announced that they had officially addressed the army regarding the initiative, adding, “What Taha Osman mentioned is not true and there is no contacts between the commanders of the Armed Forces and said person”
Taha Osman Ishag, a member of the Executive Office for FFC, had announced yesterday, Saturday, that they had reached a road map to end the war, adding that the Armed Forces and Rapid Support had been officially addressed for a direct meeting that would be held in the coming days to discuss it and then present it to all forces that believe in peace and democratic transformation.
Tomorrow, Monday, a delegation from FFC will visit Juba, the capital of South Sudan, at the invitation of President Salva Kiir, who will engage in direct meetings through separate invitations with all Sudanese political forces to listen to their vision as one of the outcomes of the consultative meeting of the peace parties that was held in Juba last October. Its final statement stipulates an agreement between the peace parties to meet with the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, and to extend an invitation to all Sudanese political and civil forces in preparation for Juba hosting peace negotiations that will contribute to stop the war in the country during the coming period.
