Sudan: Reducing Passport Fees in Egypt

The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Dr. Jebril Ibrahim, referred to the efforts made by the state with regard to the electronic passport and identification papers, for Sudanese residing in the Arab Republic of Egypt, during his meeting (Tuesday) in his office with the Acting Secretary-General of the Expatriates Authority, Dr. Abdel-Rahman Sidahmed, and the measures that were carried out in the fee of issuing the electronic passport, where fees were reduced to (8000 Egyptian pounds) .
The meeting also touched on the issues of study of Sudanese children abroad and the necessary solutions and proposals to address the issue. During his speech, Dr. Abdul Rahman Sidahmed Ali stressed the active role played by the various Sudanese immigrant communities in support of the armed forces as they fight the Battle of Dignity. The meeting further touched on the interest and desire of expatriates to take part in the reconstruction process and supporting the war effort of the armed forces. The meeting dealt with the role of Sudanese expertise and competencies abroad in contributing to supporting the state’s efforts in rebuilding what has been destroyed by the war, particularly in the health and education sectors.
Dr. Jebril Ibrahim praised the positive role played by expatriates during the war period and the support they provided to the state and their extended families.
