Expert Calls for Trade Digitization
Sudan Events – Nahid Oshi
Strategic planning expert Dr. Mohammed Hussein Abu Saleh noted the necessity of having free zones in the states to expand trade exchange with Ethiopia, Eritrea, Chad, South Sudan, Egypt, Libya and Central Africa. He said that the absence of strategic vision and corruption made Sudan a crossing point for goods and smuggling. While presenting a lecture on the strategic vision for achieving economic renaissance in the Nile River State, he noted that the matter requires skill, building a state of institutions, and creating partnerships between Egypt and Sudan, including agricultural reclamation and water harvesting, and the situation must be arranged and that Sudan cannot be a raw material producing country without benefiting from the added value. He said that trade must be digitized. As a result of the low cost of producing goods, we can win the Ethiopian, South Sudanese and other markets.
