Sun Downs Continues Its brilliance

Sudan Event – Ali Al-Taher

Sun Downs continued its brilliance in the African competition when it achieved a victory over its guest, Nouadhibou, champions of Mauritania, 3-0, today, Sunday, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria, in the first round of Group A of the African Champions League.

The goals were scored by Lucas Costa (22nd minute), Peter Shalulile (28th minute), and Justin Sirino (74th minute).
The glowing yellow team, champion of the first edition of the African League Cup, topped the first group without giving way to its competitors.

Last season, Sun Downs performed at an impressive level, reaching the semi-finals of the African Champions League, and not all the clubs they faced were able to defeat them, as they were eliminated from the competition by defending champion Wydad Casablanca with an undefeated record, with a draw in the first leg with a goal in Marrakesh, and a draw with two goals in their home stadium in Protoria.
