A journalist specialized in eastern Sudan developments, and Port news, Aza Ira, has revealed that Osman Digna
Seaport , specialized in handling passengers, has stopped operation following an aggression by one armed group against the Director General of the Sea port as well as four other staffers
The said force entered a prohibited zone inside the port and when they were asked to vacate the area they insisted and continued their stay at gun point, prompting the workers and staffers to stop the work at the sea port.
The journalist pointed out in her Facebook page that member of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Shams eddin Kabashi, presently in Port Sudan town, held a meeting with the native administration in the Red Sea State and were able to resolve the problem, and work has now been resumed at the Port.
