The Supreme Committee for Emergency and Crisis Management in Khartoum State held a meeting (Thursday), headed by the Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza.
The meeting discussed a number of topics related to the management of citizens’ affairs and services in the sectors of humanitarian aid, health, water, electricity, agriculture, media and communications.
The meeting discussed numbers and details about the position of humanitarian aid in terms of the quantities received, their quality, the distribution position, and the problems arising from the gap between the available relief and the actual need, with emphasis on the principle of justice in distributing relief through the main and approved channels.
In this regard, the meeting directed to review and complete the listing of citizens of Omdurman, Ambada and Bahri localities through the temporary headquarters of these localities and to arrange their conditions in a way that helps in providing services to them.
The meeting approved the hospice as a social service aimed at providing food to groups that do not have enough to support themselves, and decided to support and organize it in a way that achieves its goals among the target groups.
The meeting adopted the work methodology through specialized committees, namely the Health Emergency Committee, the Services Committee, Humanitarian Aid and Social Initiatives, the Security Committee, the Economic Emergency Committee, and the Communication and Media Committee.
