The Secretary-General of the National Civil Defense Council has called on the government in the Arab states, stakeholders, United Nations and international organizations to provide support to Sudan and Palestine to overcome the current stage in which Sudan is facing a catastrophic situation, as well as to rebuild what was destroyed by the war.
He stressed during the regional coordination meeting that included Arab governments and stakeholders in the field of Disaster Risk Reduction, the regional United Nations agencies and international organizations in the Arab Republic of Egypt, to include this in the recommendations of the meeting. The Secretary-General said that the meeting comes while Sudan is facing the catastrophe of war and that the National Council for Civil Defense is working to manage this stage and is planning for subsequent reconstruction in a proper way according to the implementation of the Sendai Framework, adding that Sudan is committed to implementing the outcomes of the Sendai Framework and is working on to implement them, Particularly the multi-hazard early warning system in cooperation with the Italian Agency.
