CAF :Launches Research Centre for Africa

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has launched a research center aims at developing football in the African continent and providing support to member associations and their development projects.
CAF announced on its official website today, Sunday, that it has launched the Football Development Research Center, which focuses on how to collect and use information, given that research has played a major role in the development process in recent years.
Director of the Member Associations, Sarah Mokona, said in her statements: “The CAF Research Center aims to provide data-driven information about African football. Its mission will be to conduct research that guides action, and collect evidence for theories relevant to the African context. With the CAF Research Center We will contribute to developing and disseminating knowledge to member associations and stakeholders in African football.

Dr. Nonhlanhla Mkombuzi, who was at the helm of the research, said: “The CAF Research Center is a major initiative aimed at providing member associations and research institutions on the continent with collaboration opportunities to conduct research on African football. The impact of this research center will be to provide football stakeholders with Africa will provide an evidence base to enable data and context-based capacity building initiatives and decision-making in African football for all levels of the game.
