German Marc-André ter Stegen ,Barcelona’s goalkeeper, asked the Catalan club for time to think before making an important decision.
Ter Stegen missed all of Barcelona’s matches after the end of the last international break, due to suffering from back pain.
Stegen was supposed to give Barcelona his decision today, after medical examinations, regarding undergoing surgery or completing conservative treatment.
According to the Spanish newspaper “Sport”, Ter Stegen refused to rush into making the decision to undergo surgery.
Ter Stegen asked Barcelona for a period of time to study the matter with doctors and review all possible scenarios.
The newspaper indicated that Ter Stegen’s condition requires surgical intervention if he wants a radical and more effective solution to the injury in the long term.
However, if Ter Stegen undergoes surgery, he will miss matches for several weeks.
It was revealed that if Ter Stegen chooses conservative treatment, he will also not be available to play in the next match against Girona.
