The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Gabriel Ibrahim met with Turkish Trade Minister Omar Boulad in Istanbul. The meeting discussed economic and trade issues between the two countries.
The meeting ensured the strength of bilateral trade and economic relations between the two countries and stressed the importance of strengthening these relations to increase the volume of trade exchange between them.
The two ministers stressed the need to reactivate trade agreements between Sudan and Türkiye, and encouraging Turkish companies to enter into all areas of agricultural and industrial investment in Sudan and to benefit from the distinctive geographical location of Sudan, as Sudan is considered as Africa’s gateway to the East and to the world.
The two parties agreed to hold a Sudanese-Turkish economic and trade forum next April in Ankara, to be preceded by a ministerial meeting to discuss how to activate the terms of the trade agreements between the two countries.
