The Executive Director of Merowe Locality in the Northern State, Sumaya Hussein, issued an administrative decision to form a committee to list foreign workers in the locality, headed by the Executive Director, based on the directives of the Northern Government Secretariat in this regard.
The executive director of the locality chaired the first meeting of the committee, which discussed the tasks and powers of the committee, in listing foreign workers and activating laws related to aspects of immigration, employment, and recruitment of foreigners in addition to the importance of tightening joint coordination between the relevant competent authorities regarding the work of foreigners in the locality.
The meeting stressed the importance of setting a firm time plan to review the listing and classification of foreigners in the locality, and to reconcile their conditions according to specific timetables through specialized subcommittees in the administrative units.
