CAF Releases Final list Awards

Today, Thursday, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) revealed the shortlists for the Best in the Continent Award for the current year 2023, before the ceremony scheduled next Monday, December,11 in Morocco.
CAF announced the nominees for the Best Player Award, which are competed for by Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian and Liverpool national team player, Ashraf Hakimi, the Moroccan national team and Paris Saint-Germain player, Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian and Napoli national team player.
The competition for the best goalkeeper award was also for Mohamed El-Shenawy, goalkeeper of the Egyptian national team and Al-Ahly, Yassine Bounou, goalkeeper of the Moroccan national team and Al-Hilal Saudi Arabia, and Cameroonian Andre Onana, goalkeeper of Manchester United, England.
Competing for the best coach award in the men’s category are the trio of Walid Regragui, the coach of the Moroccan national team, Aliou Cisse, the coach of the Senegal national team, and Abdelhak Ben Sheikha, the former coach of the Algerian team, USM Algiers.
The teams of Morocco, Senegal and Gambia compete for the award for the best men’s team on the continent, while the teams of Nigeria, Morocco and South Africa compete for the award for the best women’s team.
Competing for the award for the best young player on the continent are the Moroccan trio Abdel Samad Zalzouli, the Spanish and Senegalese Barcelona player Lamine Kamara, and his compatriot Amara Diouf.
