Burhan returns Home after participating in IGAD summit

The President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, returned to the Sudan on Saturday evening, after participating in the work of the 41st Extraordinary Summit meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the IGAD, held in Djibouti with a regional and international presence.
Al-Burhan addressed the summit, stressing the government’s determination to find solutions to the Sudanese crisis, stop the bloodshed and end the systematic destruction to which the country is being subjected as a result of the attack by the rebel Rapid Support militia on the Sudanese state.
He welcoming all efforts and initiatives that would contribute to sustaining security and stability in Sudan, pointing out that the Jeddah Declaration of Humanitarian Principles was a real and early opportunity to end the crisis peacefully, denouncing the barbaric attacks carried out by the rebel Rapid Support militia and committing more atrocities against citizens.
Also, Al-Burhan stressed in his speech that there would be a single professional army in the Sudan and that considering that to be a basic guarantee for the stability and peace in Sudan and the region.
