Gold Smuggling via Port Sudan Airport Aborted

The Customs Authority foiled an attempt to smuggle 3 kilograms of gold with a female passenger who tried to hide it in sensitive areas on her body.
The Customs Director General, Police Lieutenant General Hassab Elkarim Adam Al-Nour, in a press statement (Monday) confirmed that gold smuggling is considered one of the crimes that directly sabotages the economy and wastes the country’s resources.
In the same context, the Director of the Port Sudan International Airport Customs Department, Police Brigadier General, Amir Zain Al-Abideen, said that the seizure was made after the Toker’s shift workforce complained about in one of the female passengers in the departure hall.
After the inspection, the smuggled quantity was seized, despite an attempt to hide it professionally in sensitive areas, but the customs forces were watchful.
