Dr Gibril Ibrahim Mohamed, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, today, Wednesday, presided over the technical meeting for the general budget for the year 2024.
At the meeting, the general features, objectives, and directives of the emergency budget for the fiscal 2024 in all sectors were reviewed. The emergency budget, which will be relied upon in developing estimates, assumptions, and new emergency budget policies, which are expected to be flexible enough for periodic review.
The general features and objectives are expected to be approved in their final form by the Council of Ministers within the next two days in preparation for the emergency budget for the year 2024. All government units will take part in the debates for approving the new budget.
