River Nile state imposes Curfew, Bans gathering

The Governor of the River Nile state, Chairman of the Security Committee in the state, Muhammad Al -Badawi Abdel -Majid, has issued an emergency order NO (29),2023, imposing a curfew in the state, northern Sudan, from dawn to dusk, exceptions made for the medical cadres and regular forces.
According to the emergency order issued today (Tuesday), it is prohibited to use motorcycles within the borders of the state and no gathering are allowed, the order enters into force as of today, Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
The River Nile joined a number of states that imposed curfew within their boundaries, organizing the movement of citizens and vehicles following Rapid Support Militia expanding its war against the Sudanese army and following the aggression on Wad Madani, Gezira State, central Sudan.
The states of Al –Gezira, Al -Gadarif, the White Nile, Sinnar and the Northern State have previously announced similar measures.
