AUIEC Announces Sudan Reconstruction Support

The Arab Union for International Exhibitions and Conferences (AUIEC) announced its support for efforts to attract investors’ funds for post-war reconstruction in Sudan through joint efforts to support the organization of the 41st session of the Khartoum International Fair, organized by the Sudanese Free Zones and Free Shops Company, during the period from February 12 to 18, 2024 at the exhibition venue and the Shamandoura Hall in Port Sudan.
During his meeting in Cairo with the Arab Union, the Minister of Trade and Supply, Al-Fatih Abdullah Yousif, pointed out the importance of the exhibition in light of the challenges facing the commercial and economic sector in Sudan as a result of the current circumstances. He described the event as the most important session ever, hoping that the exhibition would attract participants from abroad, particularly those interested in importing agricultural products,so that it can contribute to supporting Sudan’s economy.
For his part, Secretary General of the Arab Union, Ahmed Al-Deeb, praised the Ministry of Commerce’s cooperation and continued support to make this prominent trade event a success. He stressed the importance of cooperation in strengthening trade ties and encouraging Arab investments in Sudan, declaring the Union’s readiness to provide all the necessary support and resources to ensure the success of the Khartoum International Fair.
Member of the AUIEC’s Board of Directors and Manager of Suda-Expo Company, Salah Omer Al-Sheikh, stressed the AUIEC’s efforts to support the Khartoum International Fair in particular and Sudanese exports in general.
He stressed the importance of increasing trade exchange and strengthening economic ties between Sudan and Arab countries.
