Coordination between the residents and the committees that were formed the inhabitants of an area in Gezira state, has helped in the protection of the area and people were able to enjoy a night free of any criminals or looting.
A statement issued by the Arbeji Resistance Committees, in Gezira state in central Sudan, on Tuesday saluted those in charge of the operation of securing the neighborhoods by the people of the area who spared no effort and did not blink an eyelid for the sake of the safety of the citizens.
The committees said that citizens were still waiting to retrieve their cars, according to the pledge made by leaders of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) which held a meeting with them Yesterday, Monday, and who pledged to retrieve the stolen belongings.
The Resistance Committee’s statement said that Arbeji’s hospitals, health centers and pharmacies are closed, which threatens the health of those people with chronic disease and denied them receiving the necessary treatment and care. It will also lead to a deterioration in the region’s public health and make it vulnerable to communicable diseases.
The bussines were closed with scarcity in food and necessities, and the committee warned that the continued closure of the Hasahisa market would lead to a tragic situation for the region and neighboring areas, in addition to the complete closure of all bakeries except for one bakery.
The Arbeji Resistance Committee’s statement indicated that if the entire region, including Hasahisa and neighboring villages, is not secured and health and commercial activity and all services restored, then hundreds of thousands who depend entirely on Hasahisa will be considered at risk of losing their lives at any moment.
The day before yesterday, the RSF invaded Arbeji area in Gezira State and looted a number of cars and belongings from civilians.
