The activities of the public market in Gedaref State witnessed a remarkable commercial movement and the availability of strategic commodities (sugar and flour). The Acting Governor of Gedaref, Mohamed Abdul Rahman Mahjoub, during his inspection of the public market, reassured the flow of market movement and its various commercial activities that are proceeding normally. He explained that the goal of inspecting the public market is to follow up the state government’s decisions related to declaring a state of extreme emergency and preventing the movement of motorcycles. He renewed his call on citizens to strengthen the security operation, considering that security is everyone’s responsibility, by monitoring any suspicious movements and reporting them. He also renewed his affirmation that Gedaref is safe and stable with the readiness of the armed forces and emergency personnel. The governor stressed the government’s keenness to continue hospital services and extend security and stability.
