RSF Causes Suspension of MSF’s Activities in Wad Madani

Doctors Without Borders announced the suspension of all its medical activities in Wad Madani in Gezira State due to the deteriorating security state, and accused Rapid Support of “committing violations.”
A statement issued by the organization on Friday said that on December 19, gunmen looted the organization’s compound. They took two cars and other items from the building.
The organization suspended its medical activities in Wad Madani due to the deteriorating security in recent weeks.
The organization indicated in its statement that after the Rapid Support took over Wad Madani, about 300,000 people fled the city, “We are concerned about the residents of Wad Madani.” The organization added.
The organization concluded its statement by calling for Rapid Support to respect the neutrality of medical facilities.
